Each HOM-PIK comes with a complete Instruction Manual with easy-to-follow directions for each step of the process. The best procedures for killing, bleeding and scalding are all laid out for you. To pick a bird you simply roll it back and forth across the HOM-PIK drum, exposing each part of the body to the action of the "Velvet Touch" fingers. In no time you'll be able to pick a chicken in as little as 15 seconds!
TTJ Tabletop
Compact picker for occasional use that is "budget" only in price. It has the same quality and design features of our famous HOM-PIKS, plus a unique "open end" that permits picking large birds underneath the drum. It will even dry pick.

PKES Electric Scalder
This home unit works well when you have just a few chickens, quail, gamebirds, ducks and even small turkeys to process.
The secret to good picking is a thorough, accurate scald. This home unit works well when you have just a few chickens, quail, gamebirds, ducks and even small turkeys to process. Its heavy-duty, 110v heating element has a thermostat that is adjustable from 120 to 175 deg F. The tank is made of fiberglass and is easy to clean and maintain. It measures 20" x 20" x 20", with an interior depth of 18", and weighs 30 lbs (not recommended for commercial or heavy use).
